No. 2️⃣ - 👉 Focus on the particle size of powdered milk
After our first post on bulk density 🖱️https://lnkd.in/e5qw3dVu
one question remained unanswered:
❓ Is your powdered milk homogeneous and consistent in composition❓
❓ And what is its minimum dosage❓
💡 To find out, let's use a particle size analyser. Once the powdered milk has been poured in, the sieve vibrates and separates the particles according to the size of the sieves.
The result: a micron-accurate analysis of the composition of the powdered milk
➕At Régilait Professionnel, with over 25 years of expertise in DA, we ensure optimal particle size:
✅ A majority of grains > 315 microns
(low bulk density👌 ➡️ lighter and more voluminous granules)
✅ Approximately 30% fine powder < 315 microns to ensure flowability, but no more than that to avoid the risk of clogging and “bearding”
Example for our skimmed milk:
44% large grains > 1 mm
28% grains between 1 mm and 315 microns
28% fine powder < 315 microns
And above all, this distribution is similar from one Régilait batch to another 🚚 guaranteeing an identical drink and cost 💶 for each cup👍🏼
